One of our recent open days took place at the gorgeous Mapperley Farm in Derbyshire, where our tipis were nestled between rural fields and enchanting woodlands. If you are looking for a countryside wedding then this is the venue for you, as Mapperley is equipped with 750 acres of land meaning you are limitless to how large your set up can be!
Biggest thanks to the team at Mapperley Farm, as well as the wonderful Aunt Tilly’s Tea Sets who created the styling for all of our tables. All photos in this section were taken by the fabulous Sarita White Photography.

The dangling floral hoop crafted and styled by our own fair hands!
Our main aim for this open weekend was to create a really cosy, rustic, and laid back atmosphere. We did so by styling our own accessories with foliage, florals and decorative ivy – how fab does our floral hoop look? It was actually our team that decorated it (perhaps we are in the wrong profession), and shows just how easy it is to make beautiful statement DIY pieces. The set up used was 3 giant tipis linked with a 6m catering tent in a triangular structure. We find that this set up allows plenty of room for internal furnishings and accessories such as a bar, dance floor, stage etc. Our exclusive wooden frontage was used as an entrance to invite guests into our warm and relaxing tipis, we weren’t blessed with having glorious sunshine so the comfort of our large fire pit went down a treat!

The team at Aunt Tilly’s brought an element of fantasy to the tipis, with their Alice in Wonderland-themed table favours, and amazing variety of wild meadow flowers. Each table was styled differently, with the top table being dressed in masses of bright florals and the guests seating with vintage tea sets and hessian runners. The dressing was so in keeping with the quintessentially British rustic-luxe wedding theme, and we loved it.

Table setting ideas to help keep those cheeky little ones occupied
Every open event is different in structure and style, and this one was so wonderfully unique to the lavish stylings we have welcomed in the past. Instead it made way for the appreciation of rural simplicity and elements of DIY, along with our beloved British tea parties. If you were unable to attend do not worry, we have plenty of information and ideas to offer so please get in touch if you wish to speak with us.
Our very best wishes.
