Showcasing at The Wedding Show 2018

Here at TUHQ we are still feeling an immense sense of pride and excitement following our wonderful weekend at Bride: The Wedding Show.  Set amongst the prestigious grounds of Tatton Park in Knutsford (Cheshire), the show was a glittering success kicking off the start of our 2018 open events. Despite the gloomy weather, our tipi lights shone brightly, offering a cosy and inviting hub to escape the winter climates.

We absolutely love the Tatton show, and had the pleasure of exhibiting there in Feb 2017 – we just couldn’t wait to be back! The buzz and excitement created at the show is just infectious. Not only that, but it’s the largest bridal show in Cheshire, so is a great way to showcase our tipis. We understand that they can be difficult to visualise, so allows people to see first-hand just how much they offer, and how much can be achieved.

As always, we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to visit our tipis and discuss details for their event. We also felt super lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside an abundance of amazing suppliers – all with such dedication for creating an incredible weekend. Shout out to Joseph Massie Flowers for supporting us with their gorgeous floral designs, and to Sarita White Photography for perfectly capturing the essence of our tipi.

A new addition to our furnishings range – how gorgeous?

The design concept for our tipi was to create an atmosphere that boasted rustic elegance and timeless romance. In order to wow guests and bridal parties we gave each table a different, yet equally lavish, tablescape. We thought why stick to one theme when you can have four?! The crockery/glassware provided by Whitehouse Event Crockery, and the linens from Table Linen Company helped to complete the look on all tables. Our interior furnishings delivered a spectrum of shades and textures, and offered visitors plenty of inspiration for their own tipi celebrations.

Soft pinks complemented by muted gold accents.

For our sweetheart table we wanted to create the ultimate romantic setting for newly-weds – think trailing centre pieces of pastel blooms, and clusters of flickering candles. Above the table hung a whimsical-floating-floral arrangement made from wooden hoops, foliage, and hanging tea-lights. To ensure our table was luxurious throughout, we added plush seating, large storm lanterns and had sumptuous reindeer skins underfoot.

Celebrating non-traditional chic wedding trends

Since the industrial-romance trend is so big for 2018, we thought it only fitting to dedicate a whole table to it! Our rustic long table created the perfect base for our chic arrangement of geometric copper lanterns, and crisp slates of marble. To further enhance the non-traditional feel of the table, we opted for rose gold candles and matching cutlery.

A creative twist of both modern and traditional table décor.

For our second long table we used chiavari chairs to create a subtle blend of modern and traditional seating arrangements. Here the desired theme was simplistic rustic elegance, so had one leafy garland adorned with tall white candles running along the table. To maximise the woodland vibes of the table we also dressed it with blocks of wood and deep green moss. Our pin spots of interchangeable lighting helped to achieve a moody yet ambient atmosphere.

Rustic luxury in the form of our beloved round table.

We’re always a bit biased when it comes to our rustic round table, so really wanted a centre piece that would do it the justice it deserves. Jospeh Massie provided us with a gorgeous blossom tree, complemented by delicate hanging tea-lights, in which towered above the rose gold accents of the table décor below. Our wooden cross-back chairs were the perfect partner for this tablescape, maximising the overall rustic charm.

In all honesty, we could carry on talking about this open weekend forever! But we think it’s best if we let the pictures do the rest of the talking…

Our very best wishes
